Subject: How to make clickable links in post ???

I've seen post with clickable links in threads or the link hidden and someone will post "click here", which will have a different shade of coloring to it then the other info in the post.

I searched around, but must not know the proper terminology and can't figure out which one of the items at the top of the message area will work for it.  My dumb arse thanks anyone that helps in advance.

type this:
bracket <
a href
="LINK GOES HERE"
end bracket >

What you want the text to actually appear like in the thread

bracket <
the letter a
end bracket >

(Search HTML code on Google for better explanation if this makes no sense.)

Here's a somewhat simpler solution:

In your Forum Control Panel make sure the setting labelled 'Use rich edit box when composing messages?' is set to TinyMCE. This will give you a toolbar like you'd see in MS Word for your training log and forum posting.

To create a link, highlight the text you want to link from and click the button in the toolbar that looks like this:  link

Then type the address of the page to go in the in the Link/Url box.

We changed the new account settings a while ago so new members now get this toolbar by default. A few of you geezers long time members have to change it manually though. Smile
