I was wondering how many people are on their feet all day because of their jobs, then try to get in their workouts.  I am in this situation.  Most of the time I can move around a workout if needed to schedule it on my day off or try to squeeze it in before work, but other times I have to suck it up.  I was just curious what effect that had on your overall performance.  Obviously swimming and biking aren't much of an issue, but it kills my run.

I'm on my feet all day too, but I think it's mostly about eating/drinking during the day.  I know if I get busy at work, miss lunch (too often!), and try to workout late afternoon I'm hurtin'.  Bike, swim, run doesn't matter.  Low on fuel & hydration means a tough workout.

You might consider orthotics.   I got some a couple of years ago (I'm EXTREMELY flat-footed) and it made a HUGE difference in how my legs felt at the end of the day.     I haven't tried the store-bought kind, but the custom ones I got from the orthopedist ROCK!
