Subject: Which zipp wheels for IMLP
I am currently keeping an eye out for a good deal on some used zipp racing wheels which will be my first set of racing wheels.

I thought I wanted 404's front and back but then see that 606 combination isn't that much more expensive.

So my q's are:
1. What difference do people find with 808 compared with 404 on back?
2. I am a 140lb female - will I find a deeper back wheel a bit hard to handle for  IMLP? eg it can be windy.  An extra few minutes may make the difference to me - but not if I am using excess energy trying to handle my bike

thanks

Not exactly the same, but I used an 808 front and disc rear last year, with no problems (I was 165 pounds on race day). I don't know that you'd notice much difference in handling between an 808 or 404. True, it can be windy in LP, but not usually exceptionally windy like Florida or some of the flat, wide open courses can be.

Generally, it's a deeper front wheel that is harder to handle than a disc in the rear.  You might feel the force of the wind hitting the disc from the side, but it's the front wheel that does all the handling.
