Subject: Training for my first Olympic - any suggestions on plans?
Finised my first Sprint @ Long Branch, NJ two weeks ago.  Came in 70th of 85 (men).  Could not be happier with my results.

Looking to do the Columbia MD Olympic in May.

There seams to be a lot of great training plans on this site.  Any recommendations or suggestions on which are better than others?

Thanks in advance,
Steven

most plans here are pretty decent.  most will show you what the plan is heavy on.  swim, bike or run so you can work on the weakest sport.

as far as best.  not sure if there is such a thing.  plans on BT are pretty good i have found, they mainly work on time but they are structured from several i have viewed to use your zones to train most efficiently.

a 26 week training plan would be something you can consider.

I vote for the freebie plan on here. You can choose which sport you want to be "heavy" on (as stated above) or equal workouts across all three sports. I think it's a perfectly good plan for your first Olympic and it helps to build a good understanding of how most plans should work (the build and recover phases, etc.).
