I have noticed the past 2 days the website is hanging a bit and I have lost a number of posts sent from both home and work with the server down or server not responding screen.

ditto.  Although i just use the back button and repost.  Usually the second attempt goes.  But it has been happening for a few days now

It's related to something on the backend for the Nested thread view, particularly regarding long threads. Note that you don't have to be using the Nested view to have this happen to you.

We've tried a couple of things but it looks like the real solution is to just remove the Nested view. It's used by very, very few people and and doesn't appear to be worth the effort to keep.
