Comments: The official time was 30:30, but if you consider the fact that it took me over 40 seconds to even get to the starting line, my actual time was more like 29:50 (if that's not an arugement for the Championchip, I don't know what is). There were so many people who lined up toward the front who didn't even run a full mile it was v.v. difficult to hold a steady pace. What would you do differently?: Throw all caution to the wind and line up closer to the front. Also, since I didn't know where the end of the line was, I held back at the end, when I could have pushed hard enough to shave :30 off my time. Post race
Warm down: Bottlenecked at chute. Water, walkdown. What limited your ability to perform faster: Vast, vast amounts of people. Event comments: Nice race, but because of its publicity, it draws so many people that running for a good time is almost silly. Last updated: 2004-04-23 12:00 AM

This event is a madhouse of people! There's no chance for a pre-race warm-up, so we just hunted down our friends. Weaving through the people had to warm something up- if only my temper!
