Comments: started off a little faster than I usually do. even though it was a local 5k it was the first time I've run this course so I didn't know it was going to be as hilly as it was. What would you do differently?: start out slower and try to negative split. Post race
Warm down: ate half a banana and drank some water. stretched and waited for results and raffle at end. Won a hat! :) yah for free stuff What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of hill training my weight heart rate jumped up faster than during my training runs Event comments: PR by 26 seconds on a much harder course !! :) can't wait to do a 5k on a flat course now. This was part 2 of a triple crown challenge that I think i'll try next year, either that or do the half marathon. Last updated: 2006-05-27 12:00 AM

got up at 6 ate a bagel for breakfast. got to race around 6:45 registered and chatted with a few other runners.
5 minutes of stretching 1/4 mile jog out and back at start of course
