 422  , Pennsylvania |  Subject: 08.25.2019 Sunday, Almost Bloody SundayYo, Gorgeous morning out there in the hills of Southern PA. 50 miles 2300' elevation. In this area, they re-do our country roads by putting down loose gravel and then eventually putting oil on top of it. While this may do a fine job for the roads, it is for riding on. About 35 miles in I was sweeping down an hill, slight right onto a different road. It was shaded and I didn't see the loose gravel on an otherwise perfect road. Wobble, Wobble, Twist...Deep breathe and pedal. It was uncomfortable, but...Still here and no worse for where. Hope you guys/gals have a great day! |

Hoping I can get in some riding outside on a bike this fall. It was just too painful to contemplate there. (Yes, I know that sounds silly when people live to ride MTB's and such. But I have a metal plate and five screws in my arm.) Just 2600 yards of swimming here (I think--questionable count job on some of the sets), and a lot of running around looking for various things needed for the house and my classroom. We even went to a lumber yard so Mom could contemplate her six choices for wood chips for the yard, up close and personal. OMG. And the cable guy came, so we are up and running with Internet again. |
