Any other month and you could have 110 degree heat with 30 mph winds, and are only limited to swimming in lakes. That's only the southern half of the state. For the hotter months (June - Aug), that's when we head north to Flagstaff, the White Mountains, etc, for the tris up there. The entire state doesn't experience 100+°F heat in the summer. Then again, I did a race here in Tucson on July 3rd, and it was perfectly tolerable to me. Just depends on what you're used to. Just because you had hot weather (actually, it wasn't that bad) and wind for the IMAZ course doesn't mean the entire state is like that year round. Come here, spend your money and race, then go back to whatever state you came from. Please don't move here.
