Subject: RE: What is wrong with using a bucket in transition?bryancd - 2009-08-09 1:00 PM Not only is there not nearly enough room on the ground for something as large as a bucket, unless you are going to take up space from the people on either side, but when you sit your lazy a@# down, where are you sitting? In the flippin' middle of the aisle down which other athletes are trying to navigate to get to their spot! And really, this is like the 10th thread on this topic in the past 6 months...If anyone has any questions about this, please use the search function. I guess some folks just can't help getting ugly. I asked a simple question and you have go call me lazy. I don't see a real estate issue and would never encroach on someone's area. The footprint of a 5-gallon bucket is pretty much the same as my 2 size 14 shoes so if I put my shoes in the bucket, I don't see a real estate issue. I've done plenty of sprints, oly, HIM and IMs and every one has the bikes alternate sides leaving room for people to put a towel down with their shoes, helmet, bodyglide, goggles, pump, gym bag, power bars and all kinds of crap. Sorry, I'm just not buying the real estate argument. I'm not very coordinated and if I try to put my socks on while standing up, I'm very likely gonna fall over onto your bike. As for not using the search funtion....LOL, I suppose 99% of the questions asked on this board have been cussed and discussed over and over and over again so don't give my this whinning crap about "this has already been discussed". If you don't like the thread topic, here's a suggestion for ya: DON'T READ IT! And don't bother offering up your smartarse, nasty reply. ~Mike |
