I pretty sure the Westchester Toughman hasn't yet been approved by the town authorities - hence right now it's just a web site and a date. The Westchester Olympic is my home town event and my usual season closer. I personally doubt the cops and the town parks people with authorize another event so close in time, but we'll see. Don't count on this event taking place, yet !

Looks like it is going to be run by the same folks who run the Oly distance. Not sure if that is good or bad!

The guy organizing it is Rich Izzo.

Bumping this up just b/c my ART guys is helping organize it and I remembered a discussion about it. It's September 21 - same day as the Westchester Oly.

All I know is the race is a HIM, it will be small and will be held on 9/21.

Not sure if I'm going to do it but as I get more info from my ART guy I'll pass it along.

Harriman was $175 early, then $200 and finally $225 by race day.

Does seem a little pricey for it's first year but it's not that far out of line for the area I guess.

Can you ask him why in the world they'd schedule it the same day as the oly?! Seems kinda counter-productive IMO.

MightyMan Montauk HIM is is $195 if you register before the end of April and it is a great, great race at an amazing venue... I just kin of think that 225 is a little high for the first year especially when you compare it to one of the area's premiere races

I'm not "riled up." I just think it shows a lack of common sense and does not serve the local tri community well at all. If the events are being run and organized by the same folks I don't know why THEY would want to have them on the same day!
