Hi September run challenge team!!

My name is Jen and my goal this month is 100 miles (and also to beat the other teams  ).  I'm running my first marathon in October, so I need to get the mileage in during the month.

Glad I saw the thread...I was about to get one started!

 Our Mascot!

I'm upping my miles trying desperately to complete my August Challenge.  25 was the run goal for August - I'm at just above 9.  It's been a tough month.

I'm in for 30!

Running is my weakest & I HAVE to crank it up.  Tri on October 5.

Hi teammates!

My name's Todd and I'm a new member around here.  Started training around mid-June and have my first tri coming up in a little over a week (Aug 30th).   My goal for the challenge is 40 miles.

Todd

Hey, my name is Steve.  I'm pretty new here, but I thought I'd get some motivation to make sure I get my running in.  My goal for the month is 50 miles.  Oh yeah, and if anyone finds out what a Chanticleer is, let me know.  I'm a bit curious.

The University website describes a Chanticleer:

Chanticleer comes from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. More specifically, he comes from the Nun's Priest Tale, a story within Canterbury Tales. The Chanticleer is a proud and fierce rooster who dominates the barnyard.

Dominating the barnyard sounds much better than being a dancing chicken Laughing

Hi everyone! My name is Barb and this is my first challenge. My goal is 50 miles. I have a half marathon on 9/21 and am hoping to complete the Philadelphia Marathon (my first) in November. I know my numbers are low for a marathon training plan, but I have an old injury that haunts me daily and can only run three days a week (well, I'm not supposed to run at all, but 3 days keeps me relatively pain free). I can probably equal my monthly run mileage in monthly walk mileage.

Good luck fellow Chanticleers!

Beg, bribe, or coerce someone to be your team captain.

Let me know who it is.

Thanks!

I vote you in as team captain (since you created the table!)

Hey, can you send the html code for the table so I can post it on my log?

Thanks!

I thought I had posted an HTML table for the logs last night.  Maybe it got removed by a mod or it didn't save.  Reposting to try again.

Hey, can you send the html code for the table so I can post it on my log?

Thanks!

So, the table is on my other computer.  If you want it now, the easiest way to get it is to:

1. Quote the message with the table.

2. Check the 'disable HTML' button.

3. Click 'preview'.

4. Copy the HTML table and put in your log.

5. Click 'apply'.

6. Sometimes, I have to go back in and click apply again to make the table look like a table instead of HTML code.

If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll try to send you the code later.

Hey everyone, im Adam. I shooting for 100 miles. My last tri for this year will be early Sep. so I should have time to squeeze another 40 miles in. My first marathon is in Nov so I need a month and a half of some good miles.

1 more week!  Everyone getting ready?

I'm gearing up.  I'm back in the running mode! Not tons of mileage, but trying to get in at least 9/week to meet my 30 miles.  I know it's not a lot, but that'll be my biggest month yet & since I'm getting ready for my 1st Sprint in October, I've got to make sure I keep up the bike & swim.

Anyone have any specific strategies to keep on track during the month?

My #1 & #2:  1 - Eat & hydrate - tend to forget to eat & then am too tired to train

                      2 - Sleep - staying up late = sleeping in & missing work-outs

Main goal - take good care of me so I can beat the streets!
