The time trial course will head out of Town Square - down Rt. 49 - a right on to Tripoli Road - and up the hill to the Ski Resort... and the last mile or so all up hill!

Just got back from Waterville. I know I sound like a broken record, but it's really going to be special.
OH, and the Little Buggers Kids run is NOW the Little Buggers Kids TRIATHLON, with a 50 yd swim, 1.5 mile bike, and .5 mile run....

Gonna update the website right away!

My wife and the kids are coming over from Maine to take on the Fly Tri.  Can anyone tell us about the bike and or run routes. (Olympic Dist.) How are the hills? Is the road in good shape? Thanks for any info!!

The bike leg will be mostly down hill to start and then a steady climb back up.  It is not steep climbing, just that you keep going up.  As far as road conditions i have not ridden up there in a long time but figure they will be in very good shape as it was always a nice road when I was in college up in Plymouth.  Riding up to Waterville was always fun.

Thanks for the info, I guess I was thinking steep with all the mountains around.

The International course is a long downhill to start....some good ups and downs in the middle and a long steady climb on the way back - nothing to steep just a long grind on the way back... hills are so subjective - what's not hilly to someone may be horrific for someone else... The course is not the easiest but it's definitely doable by most everyone.

I just have a question about the swim, I was in the pic for the course map that it's a zig zag swim for the international distance. Am I right, just want to be prepared. Thanks.

Planning on taking the family up that way in 2010 for this one and wife and I want to do the TT, sprint and Oly.  Just can't make 2 drives from VA to NH in one month with a 3 and 5 year old.

anyone want to relay the int'l - saturday race?  I would prefer to do the bike leg (and that is definitely by far my stronger sport) I am debating signing up - just did Patriot HIM yesterday and feel better than I thought I would - so thinking gee, bike TT would be fun, and gee the sprint would be fun and gee all of them sound fun so first I figured I would put it out there to see if anyone wants to relay....

Oh man, I am sorely, sorely tempted to do the swim with you. Not in shape to run right now. Grrr..... I can't. I have a prior commitment. I must keep my prior commitment. No matter how much I want to do this.

If it were the Sunday race, I'd be all over it like brown on rice.
