Ok Jim- since you are now an elite with red star status, you must take time out of your busy schedule and write a thank you speech.

Ok- so Jim doesn't want to write his thank you speech for the mere fact that he doesn't like to be put on the spot.  So he has asked me to write it for him.  Since he's my coach and I know him so well, here's what he would write:

I would first like to thank Ron for allowing me post nothing but nonsense regarding flat tires, burritos, manscaping, etc.  If it weren't for him I would not have my red start status.

I would like to thank TriComet for being my partner in crime and tag teaming with me to hyjack threads.

I would like to thank my new boss, for offering me a position in a different department so I no longer have to sit in a cube next to runnergirl.  I am no longer distracted by her conversations that consist of running, tri training, chaffing, blistering, hot tri guys, how to upgrade her bike and listen to her whine about riding hills.  Now that I am in a cube on the 2nd floor, I am able to focus all my time and energy on BT.  Forget about runnergirl- she can't give me red star like BT can!

I would like to thank Max for reassuring me it's ok to wear a skirt and heels every now and then to show off my sexy legs!

I would like to thank the owner of the resturaunt in Atlanta where I ate some wings the night before running Peach Tree.  If it weren't for your food giving me runner's trots in the race, I would have had a boring race report.  However, the wings contributed to a humorous race report and BT posts.

I would like to thank runnergirl for showing me how to become such an excellent swimmer.  If it weren't for her exhibiting her efficient swim technique, I would have never made it into the world of tri's and wouldn't be a member of BT.

I would like to thank the dude at VA Beach who sported the yellow shorts rolled up like a speedo.  Thanks to you, my avatar was a HUGE hit and was a great conversation piece for BT.

Bitchy post to follow....I don't know Jim, nor am I familiar with his posts. Enough with the celebratory hoopla.

Enough! Guess this is why I don't often venture over to the Joe thread.

OK ok ok...I'm glad Janelle did this, because now I can just respond with smartass comments, instead of sounding all self-important just cause I have a buncha posts. PLease read below:

runnergirl28 - 2005-09-28 7:08 PM

Ok- so Jim doesn't want to write his thank you speech for the mere fact that he doesn't like to be put on the spot.  So he has asked me to write it for him.  Since he's my coach and I know him so well, here's what he would write: Don't you love how trainable Janelle is? All you "hot tri guys" take note.

I would first like to thank Ron for allowing me post nothing but nonsense regarding flat tires, burritos, manscaping, etc.  If it weren't for him I would not have my red start status. That's so true. But I contribute good stuff, too, both tri related and evolution related.

I would like to thank TriComet for being my partner in crime and tag teaming with me to hyjack threads.   Abosolutely. This place wouldn't be the same without her.

I would like to thank my new boss, for offering me a position in a different department so I no longer have to sit in a cube next to runnergirl.  Amen. I am no longer distracted by her conversations that consist of running, tri training, chaffing, blistering, hot tri guys, how to upgrade her bike and listen to her whine about riding hills.  Amen, amen, amen. Now that I am in a cube on the 2nd floor, I am able to focus all my time and energy on BT.  Forget about runnergirl- she can't give me red star like BT can! AMen. But seriously, as much flack as I give Janelle, everyone should know how highly I think of her. Sure she's a complaining goofball, but she's also an extremely dedicated athlete, she's very morally and spiritually grounded, she's a great TNT Mentor (more than that...she's more dedicated to TNT than anyone I've ever known). And she's my friend. So any of you "hot tri guys" that mess with her...you'll have to deal with me... Oh...and she's not half as annoying that she thinks she is. She makes me think that I actually am a good coach.

I would like to thank Max for reassuring me it's ok to wear a skirt and heels every now and then to show off my sexy legs! I wish I could wear skirts, actually.

I would like to thank the owner of the resturaunt in Atlanta where I ate some wings the night before running Peach Tree.  If it weren't for your food giving me runner's trots in the race, I would have had a boring race report.  However, the wings contributed to a humorous race report and BT posts. It wouldn't have been so bad if I'd have had one of Haley's diapers.

I would like to thank runnergirl for showing me how to become such an excellent swimmer.  If it weren't for her exhibiting her efficient swim technique, I would have never made it into the world of tri's and wouldn't be a member of BT. Um...yeah.

I would like to thank the dude at VA Beach who sported the yellow shorts rolled up like a speedo.  Thanks to you, my avatar was a HUGE hit and was a great conversation piece for BT. Absolutely.

I would like to thank TriComet for being my partner in crime and tag teaming with me to hyjack threads.   Abosolutely. This place wouldn't be the same without her. I couldn't do with without the support of my fans and partners...

I beg to differ

I would like to thank Max for reassuring me it's ok to wear a skirt and heels every now and then to show off my sexy legs! I wish I could wear skirts, actually.  I have a couple you could have that don't fit me anymore

I would like to thank the owner of the resturaunt in Atlanta where I ate some wings the night before running Peach Tree.  If it weren't for your food giving me runner's trots in the race, I would have had a boring race report.  However, the wings contributed to a humorous race report and BT posts. Dang Haley...what's that about? I know you're probably just a bit sensitive now, after the beating you've taken the past couple of days, but I just call 'em like I see 'em. And I didn't want this thread to be about me...I didn't start it! I actually am humble...just ask anyone. I'm not "playing." And anyway, you're one to talk, Hijack McHijackerson...

Hijack McJijackerson?? How old are you?

Actually, I really don't think I'm being sensitive, I can deal with what was posted about me, this is just a freaking forum for G*d's sake...(don't want to speak in vain...nevermind). oh please...you pretend like you're you're this nice humble guy, but I really don't know who else I would ask about this trait since the only people in Augusta I associate with are you and janelle--and now i'm reconsidering you and Janelles time is going to be limited because of my cell bill---oh wait!!! There I go again.

Everyone knows you're just rying to butter up all the "hot" girls so you can make your move, pretending to be this nice guy 'coach'...uugggh...now i'm pissed

Older than you, Missy. (deep breath)

OK, Haley...this is getting carried away. I was just trying to keep you in check a little about your insatiable need to make every thread about you. But I guess I dhould have kept my mouth shut. I like you. You know I do...or at least did. But "buttering up the hot girls"? Are you serious?

And you know...if you're going to criticze me for not being genuine...no. I'm not going to go there. But watch yourself. Don't make me say something you'll regret.

Oh...and also...you're actually not all that hot...

You're right Jim, I guess I do have some need to make everything about me. Maybe I should get help with that? how much do you charge mr. high and mighty?

As for buttering up the hot girls, why yes, I believe its all part of your plan as a coach. You have all these girls in the palm of your hand---Janelle is a perfect example, she even comes to you with posting advice!!! I'm not falling for your little game.

Me not genuine?? I think I'm pretty open and upfront about things. You're the one who has things to say about your athletes (and their pets) behind their backs...

I never claimed to be "hot". That got started on its on by this forum.

Yeah I guess I'm sorry. It's just for you to imply that I ever had something bad to say about you know who...on her birthday, no less.

I'm mean, it's common knowledge that her constant complaining is annoying, and that no one wants to here about her butt frosting, and that Sherbet's (c'mon...what kind of bike name is that?) paint job isn't really all that great, and that she should have gotten Zipps instead of those lame-ass American Classic wheels, and the cat thing? I mean, what is she 60? And...OMG, last but certainly not least.........

And please, please, please....know that, just for the record....Haley and I were doing all this in fun. And that I actually do think she's pretty hot (there I go again...buttering up the "hot" BT girls). But also for the record, that's not why I like her......

Ok ya'll- I have confirmed- it really was a joke. I must say that these posts made me sweat through my shirt- no lie!  My arm pits are sweatty but now that I know it was a joke they are drying out quite nicely.  I must say that I should be appluaded for not responding to all the nonsense and staying "neutral".  I think that has a lot to say about my character.  And for the record, I'm not annoying.  Rocketman can back me on this one!
