Subject: Importing Routes
Hi all.  I have spent a while making routes for myself on gmap-pedometer.com and as I poked around the training logs and noticed the route stuff, I see that the maps and function of the route maker in BT looks like the very same one used in gmaps.  So, here is my question.  Is there a way to import these previously built routes into my routes in BT, or do I have to start over and redo them in the BT format?

Yup. Any route that can be saved to a valid GPX file can be imported into the Route Tracker.

On the GMap-Pedometer web site is a link to this page which has instructions and a tool to export routes. I haven't tried it so I'm not sure about it's functionality.

Once you have a route as a GPX file on your hard drive, just use the "Upload from GPX File" button on the bottom left of the Create a Route page . Navigate to the file on your hard drive, click 'Upload' and the route will display. You may need to click the 'Reset Elevation Values' button to get elevation data.

One cool thing is that once you have these in your Route Tracker and start logging them with your workouts, you'll be able to use the Route History Analysis page. Here's one of mine (the Route History Analysis is a Performance Member feature, so not everyone will be able to see it. Below is a screenshot. It's missing the Flash graph of the route because Flash doesn't get captured in screen grabs).

OK - that is extremely cool.  It figures I would get this info 20 days before I have to decide on whether to renew as a silver member or bronze.  I am sure this was contrived to keep me at Silver level.

It'll work for Bronze level memberships.

The only difference between Silver and Bronze are the Training Plan libraries you have access to. Bronze= minutes only plans; Silver=Minutes Only and Detailed plans.
