Subject: Bought a Desoto tri suit and have a question
How tight should it be in the crouch area and shoulders for swimming? I have not tried any swimming until tomorrow but I take it the suit does not need body glide? Any help is appreciated and any link to fitting advice is fine too. I have my first tri on Sunday, hence the new suit. I have done 4 events this year but no swimming. Look forward to any responses.

A tri suit should be tight fitting.  Body Glide (or other lubricant) should be used liberally wherever you chaffe.

Might want to hit the pits and inner arm with body glide or some other lube. The stitched seam around the arm opening produces some definite chafing on my De Soto Forza suit. Never had that issue with a simple tri top but rubbed myself raw when I switched to a tri suit recently.

As to the the crotch...you're going to be OUT THERE for sure. So long as there isn't any pain or numbness, high def is just part of the package (so to speak).
