Subject: Valve stem length for 808s
So Im renting a set of 808s for IMKY and just realized that I need new tubes with longer valve stems.  The guy at the LBS said I just needed tubes with 80mm valve stems on them ... should i have gone longer?  Seems like those are going to be just a long as the rim and wont actually pop out of the opening?

With 808's you will still usually need to use the valve extenders that Zipp gives you with the wheels.  Although 80 mm stems just might be long enough ...... they are just harder to find in a pinch or if you have to borrow a tube from someone.  Better to just have the extenders.

I use an 80mm stem for my 404 front wheel and a 60mm stem with extender on my rear 808.
