Got a new laptop over the weekend and needed to re-install drivers and software for the 305. There were no issues at all with the install except when I did the initial download from the watch to the PC every workout was transferred but only the last 4 weeks show any map info. I can see the text data (h/r, cal, avg speed, etc) but the actual map graphics only show for the last 4 weeks.

Laptop is using Vista. Previous OS was XP.

The 305 has limited memory and the GPS data it records can get big quick.

In order to keep recording new workouts and maintain the important data from older workouts, it will throw away GPS data for older workouts to make room for newer data.

I'm not sure if the criteria is workouts over a certain date or number or if it's based on available memory. Given the excellent design of the unit, I'd say it's probably some sort of combination.

It's important to remember to delete workouts occassionally from the unit. This will also make uploads to online services like the Route Tracker and the training logs much quicker.

Yea I had the same problem, and realize that everytime I charge it I upload all my data and then delete all of it off my watch.
