I was almost half way through with my 90' run in the mid-day heat and I passed an elderly gentleman going the other way wearing an IMCA shirt.  I got to my turn-around point and soon caught up with him.  I asked him if he had been in the news lately and we soon were talking his training, his grandson and whatever else came up.  It was a pleasant change to my normal solitary training to walk/run with him.  He was the only other runner that I saw on the trail at this time of day.  What an inspiration he is.
