recently i noticed that if im climbing a hill, i will get up off the saddle and pedal that way. naturally you put more weight on the handlebars. but when i do this i hear a clicking sound near the handlebars. its not the sound of a cable slamming the frame. is this bad? what could be the problem? im afraid the frame might snap right there but im not sure.

Javamom is Queen of clicky bikes. She might have some input.

I would bring it into a bike shop. That's how I roll, though.

LOL!!

My first clicking (which sounds like what you are describing) was coming from my seat post.  Some grit got in there and needed to be cleaned out.  My second clicking was the derailleur needing to be adjusted and I don't know something was clicking.  The third clicking was actually a knocking and my pedal needed to be tightened.

Good luck!!  A quick trip to the bike shop is usually the best bet.

Maybe there is a bug in there, and he wants to go for bike rides?

Sorry - I am obviously useless.
