Swim
Comments: Although the times are still relativly slow I was feeling better than I ever have on the last 1/2 of the swim. I was actually passing people over the last 200-300 yards. What would you do differently?: Keep working on my breathing and try to actually use what I've been practicing. It seems that I almost forget how to swim when I get in the open water. Transition 1
Comments: took my time making sure I washed my feet. The T1 was in a dirt area with little rocks. I didn't want to deal with rocks in my shoes on the run. T1 seemed to go by the numbers and I didn't forget anything like I've done before. What would you do differently?: Maybe pick up the pace a bit. Run
Comments: My plan was to start out slow until I was sure I was at a good pace. Then I was supposed to pick up the pace at each .75 mile mark. I actually did start out slow but had a hard time picking up the pace. At mile 2 I gradually started picking it up so I finished strong running at a 10min/mile pace. Not record breaking but a PB for me. Its good to see some improvement. Post race
Warm down: Water and some fruit Event comments: Everyone envolved with the race was freindly and cheerful. I noticed a big improvment between the 1st race in the series and this last one. They got everything fine tuned. Last updated: 2004-06-05 12:00 AM
