Subject: garmin route upload

Sorry for sounding like a nob. I just purchased my first Garmin. I have a 310XT. I have gotten my workout loaded into my blog, but am having trouble with the route upload from my Garmin. I can get as far as the "found" section on the communicator. When I click on "get data" I get 0 tracks found. Did I do something wrong, or am I missing something.

Also, I see repeated notes about setting the device to smart recording. I have searched BT, Garmin and the web, and cannot seem to figure out what the smart recording feature is and how to use it on my 310XT.

Thanks for the help

Joe

We haven't see that with the 310xt and the route tracker, we'll look into it. In the meantime, do you have the ability to export the route as a .gpx file and upload that?

The 310xt uses smart recording by default. It only changes to sampling every second when paired with a power meter.

Thanks Mike, I am working with the garmin connect along with BT to get myself up to speed. I will attempt to figure out how to try and do that later this weekend.

took a few steps, but I was able to move it as a GPX file into my blog. Can keep doing it if that is the way it needs to work. Thanks for the suggestion
