Subject: Desert 1/2 Iron & Richter Pass
Hey everyone, has anyone here done the Desert 1/2 Iron or IM Canada? What was Richter pass like? I was planning on doing that 1/2 but seeing as it's my first time at that distance, doing the self proclaimed "toughest 1/2 ironman in Canada" might not be the best idea.

Any experiences? Comparables? Info?

Thanks.

Here's the 2006 bike course with elevation profile:

The course description for 2007 has changed a bit.  Maybe they made it a little easier so you don't have to go over Richter Pass twice.

Just do it!!!
If you do it all other distances will PALE in comparison and you can say...I did the TOUGHEST 1/2 course in CANADA and you will just glide through all the rest of your races riding that HIGH!

Thanks for the link, very helpful. I was looking at another site which gave the elevations for IMC so I was kinda estimating where it started/ended for Desert 1/2 IM.
