Run
Comments: Started out strong until about the 2nd mile. Lost a lot of momentum, but never gave up. I didn't walk at all, which I was proud of. What would you do differently?: I would have drank more water, eaten more, stretched more, jogged to warm-up. Basically-everything! Post race
Warm down: Walked for about 10 minutes to cool down. Drank a bottle of water. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nutrition/hydration/lack of sleep night before. Event comments: What a well-run race!!! I was so impressed. There were booths with goodies- I came away like a kid after Christmas with all this stuff. Plenty of free powerbars, propel water, t shirts, and lots of booths with info about breast cancer, since this was a "run to cure breast cancer." Overall, the best 5K i've ever done! I didn't do so hot on this one. All I had was a glass of OJ and half a banana. It really killed me because I ran out of energy at the end. It's just so hard to eat at 6 AM when you're not hungry!
Again, I should have warmed up, stretched, jogged, etc. Didn't do any of that. I am seeing that I completely missed the boat on this one.
