I know, I just got the notice for this in the mail. Weird. I think they must have sent it out to everyone on the USAT list. or something?

Anybody considering doing this one?  I'm going to think about it since the other Oly I was planning on doing this weekend was canceled, and the one I really want to do is too far away/too expensive.

i just signed up for it.  the park where it is at is my old training grounds, i am pretty excited.

i called the park and asked about the water quaility (with the flooding and all).  she said that they haven't failed a water quaility test yet, even with the flooding.  now, they are only testing for e. coli, not any other wacky chemical that may have gone in there.

also, the beach is trashed and she said the orgainizers were going to move the start to a boat ramp.  i have yet to do a boat ramp start, but depending on the number of people, this may be chaos.

it's the first year, so i'm not expecting everything to go super smooth, but it should be fun!
