I'm interested.  Maybe a starting time of around 11 or so? and go for 2 - 3 hours? Or what ever! Be nice to have a big get together!

well - I'd love to...but darn - I don't think I am ready....I am meeting with a local BT'er on Tuesday and she will hopefully help me conquer my pedals (thanks Jeni - out4atime!)....but I have never really riden in a group or a long distance before...so most likely won't be able to join you on this one....

I am not really sure about the screws on the pedal...I have fiddled with them...but it seems to get 'tighter' both ways I turn them LOL!

thanks and I will keep watching the thread...or at least look to join you at some future ride....

? though...how does it work when the riders are of differing levels/abilities/speed? I am sure I would be much slower than you other seasoned riders....which also makes me hesitate to try riding in groups - I would fear being left behind....or slowing everyone down....

I'm always up for some more time in the saddle.  I'm at UBC (at the top of Jerico hill) so can meet you along the route or something like that depending on where we decide to start from.

I'm helping Jill make friends with her pedals on Tuesday and we'll get her on the road!!

I might be up for a ride, depending on the time and place. What did you guys have in mind?

If I am not at a training camp, I should be there.

I promise to keep chris slow....

And its always fun to have lots of people! no drops.....last time we kept it around 25 if I remember right.

Maybe you can get Laura and Jen to make it as well, talk to them on track night.

NOT A HAMMER FEST!!!

Well, in that case I'm out!

Just kidding. That sounds pretty decent. I'm starting to train with the Coquitlam Tri club so I'm going to see what's going on that weekend and I'll figure things out. Don't know if late morning into the afternoon will work for me though. If it's really nice I may have to go into work.

What the heck?!?!?!?  Why's everyone always picking on me? You are all painting me with the "crazy, out of control, Maverick" brush!  All the new peoples are thinking I'm some maniac!  Knock it off, let them figure that out for themselves!!!  STOP HAMMERING!! I would love a nice easy paced ride through the park and around SFU and I strongly urge EVERYONE to make it out as this is a "get toknow you ride and not as a training ride, no one will be left behind...unless your name ryhmes with...uummmm....Can.

first hurdle jumped! I mastered the pedals today (thanks again so much Jeni!)....it wasn't nearly as hard as I had feared.....went for a short 20 min ride with Jeni today too!

I am thinking on it.

I will have to determine that when I get closer to the day.

I will be there on the 9th though!

I will have to wait until closer to decide for sure - but will certainly consider it.

I already do my sun run training group run on sunday mornings (and I will be missing the next three in a row after that due to being in Whistler for spring break and one because I am having a party on Saturday night and know I won't be running early the next Sunday morning)....so I do need to go next week.

they go until about 11'ish....what time will the ride be likely?

Also - my husband will still be out of town...so I can only away with leaving my oldest son to 'watch' his siblings for 'sooo long'...so will have to take that into consideration as well...

I have a coached ride scheduled for March 16th, and 30th.  Hill repeats up the hill by Jerico and UBC are on the menu. yum!

March 23? maybe?

sounds fun!!! Is that the hill on 4th? maybe i'll come watch you suffer LOL!

I will be in Whistler from the 22-30th....a week of skiing...but will probably find it hard to fit in any kind of 'normal training' that week

Starting to look that way, we'll give everyone some more time I think. If everyone wussies out then yeah, HELL YEAH, I think a little wooded trail devastation can be ordered up! I'd still love a group BT ride though! We'll play it by ear.
