Subject: RE: Fantasy Footballmnewton - 2005-08-18 1:18 PM What is the system? It's kind of a scoring/yardage hybrid that I inherited ten years ago. You get 6 points for a TD<10yds, 9 pts if it's 11-39 yds, and 12 if it's 40+. You get double points (i.e., 12, 18, 24) if the TD is "uncommon to the position" e.g., a QB running for a TD or a RB throwing. Performance points only when you get 100yds rushing/receiving or 300yds passing, 0 points for 99 yds rushing unless he scores TDs. Got some other quirks, but that's the gist. Of course you're going to have a lot more long passing TDs than rushing, thus the advantage to the QB. Out of our top five picks, I'll bet three of them will be QBs: Manning, Culpepper and Vick (because of the rushing). McNabb was a shoo-in until TO started his antics. |
