Pro 3715     AZ |  Subject: ESCKTC Pre SOMA Feed / RAGNAR meetingPre Soma Brunch/Ranger Relay First Meeting (I'm assuming there will be more) October 27, 2007, @ 10 am - Paulette's house (Hayden/Chapparal) PM Paulette for directions. She lives 9 miles from Tempe Town Lake. Party will be potluck style brunch. Call out and say what you are bringing so we don't have 9 fruit bowls and 1 quiche. Following the feeding and talking about RAGNAR, we will all head down to TTL to rack our bikes and pick up our packets for SOMA. (Note: If you are doing SOMA but not RAGNAR you are STILL welcome!!!) List of thing I think we could eat: (Keeping in mind calm-tummy racing food!)

The kicker about the Ragnar stuff is that we need to make a few decisions and pony up some money so we can be registered by Oct 31. The entry fee like triples or something after that, and that's just stupid! What about holding a RAGNAR meeting next Sunday after the ride during breakfast? |

Next Sunday, the 21st I am on a plane!!! So maybe we can just hold the RAGNAR meeting at a restaurant around lunch on Saturday the 20th?????? Or what are some ideas for getting this RAGNAR meeting in before the end of Oct cut off? |

WHAT if we do the meeting Thurs night after swim? HEAD to RED WHITE AND BREW???? Since we skip the run now we could just swim and head for brews. Just a thought. For those who are doing RAGNAR and are going to not be able to make it how will we get entry fees? I will go read the rules real quick to see if we need all entries, I think we do! Not sure I can swing a Hallowen party in the next 2 weeks as I will be out of town for one of them. AND I have to make my kid's costume. No time left to think about mine! I did, however, mention at OWS last night that I would like to host a Christmas party and we can have a goofy white elephant gift exchange. My house is small, but maybe we can round up a few patio heaters so we can spill outside a bit too. |

Due to the hectic schedule of October it has been decided that the team meeting will be postponed until Nov. or later. HOWEVER: in order to get discounted registration we need to have everyones money and waivers/registration complete by October 31 SO: If you see myself or Tanya by then get your money in! Each participant owes: $920/12 = $76.66 **it says LESS online but they charge tax and credit card fees. I am emailing to see if there is a mail in application to avoid the $20 cc fee but will update you on that. They seem pretty excited about their online registration fancy shmancy site so lets assume this is the only way to do it. 3 questions I need answered from everyone who is doing it: 1 - What is your projected 10K pace per mile? (They want a 10K pace per team) 2 - What shall we call our selves? *ESCKTC, East Side Cool Kids, We are cooler than you ever will be, etc... 3 - When and how do you plan on paying? PM this info to Tanya or I so we can plan accordingly. We would like to have everyone's moolah by the 28th this way if someone decides not to do it we have a 3 day window to fill someones spot!
