Subject: Running Form
I've just fininshed my first triathlon this summer, so i'm still learning some of the tricks. I find that when i run my anckles always knock my leg when i pick my foot up to start a new stride. do i run with my feet too close together? or what?  anyone have any suggestions?

Run more, your body will figure it out.  Mileage is the best way to make gains in running economy.

My wife had been using the same running shoes (New Balance) for a few years, always upgrading to the next model when one was retired.  After running in the rain one day, she forgot to dry them properly and for the next few weeks, she kept hitting her ankles with her shoes during her runs...to the point of rubbing herself raw and bleeding.  She also started getting blisters where she previously had never gotten any.  We took her for a new and DIFFERENT make of shoe and the problem was fixed.

Moral of the story....Maybe it's the shoes, not you.

I used to kick my ankles pretty badly. Then I had some issues, saw an ART guy.

Once we got my inner thighs loosed up, I haven't kicked them again unless I'm running on a technical trail and then that's the nature of the beast.

That's just what happened in MY case, I'm not a dr. nor do I play one on the interweb.

Well, kicking yourself during the run can't be good for efficiency.  Apart from that obvious remark, it's hard to say what could be happening here without more info (better, seeing it).  Do you know some experienced runners who can watch you run?
