Subject: Riding question from an out-of-towner
Greetings Zona peeps!  
I am near 7th St and Thunderbird for the next two mornings on a short vacation from CA.  I am looking for nice safe ride that I can get in about 2 hours of riding.  Thoughts or recommendations?

From where you are, I'd recommend biking over to Cave Creek and heading north (on Cave Creek). They'll be some construction around the Loop 101, but a good ride after that. You can ride up to Carefree Highway and head east or west from there. Out and back - - that'd be a pretty good ride.

Take plenty of fluids - although there are a few places to refuel on that route.

Great rotue.  Thanks Fitz!  Only issue the whole day was the angry commutters heading south on7th.  Was missing a bike lane at that point.

You can by-pass that short non-laned section on 7th by taking Deer Valley over to 19th Ave and head north from there to the carefree High-way.
