Subject: subcribe when replying
Like many other forums, why do we not get auto-subscribed to a thread that we reply to?  Or am I just overlooking how to do so?

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but at the top of the forum page is a "show my threads" link that takes you to a page that lists only the topics you have replied in.

We do, at least I do. Under Settings, check the Forum Settings tab and see if "Receive e-mail notifications by default?" is set to Yes.

Like MDHillSlug said, you have to 'opt in' first via the settings to receive any forum thread notifications by default.
