Subject: Possible "bug" with clinking on BT link within BT thread ...
The problem is brought up in the following thread -
http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=231814&posts=13&start=1

I'm using Windows XP SP3 (fully-patched) and running either IE 7 (fully-patched) or Mozilla Firefox 3.6.8, and Java build 1.6.0_21-b07.

Gaarry mentioned he has used a Mac and problem still occurs.

Hope the thread above provides you the background of the "issue".

Thanks, Ron and Marmadaddy.

I don't know if you guys are working on this, but I have to pipe in.  It strikes me that the link Newbz chose is this:

http://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=231978&start=1

without the www

and it makes it seem like I am not logged in.  I have noticed this when BT friends link back to BT from other sites, like Facebook.

The link for the thread he was targeting should be:

http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=231978&posts=57&start=1

That's the easiest link - I don't know why he'd chose the other.

Not sure if that helps...  It sure is annoying!

We're looking into this.  It has to do with the http://beg...vs http://www.beg...

Login cookies work on the one that you logged in on, if you go to the other one it treats you as a guest until you log in on that one...

Good catch and thanks for piping in!

Does this pertain to a certificate on your website and it not being associated to the non-WWW Domain name?
