Subject: Getting alert or email on posts to Forums

Is there a setting that will alert me when anyone replies to one of my posts.  It could be my primary post or any of my replies to someone else.

I can't seam to find that selection.

It stinks having to log in and search to find your old post to see if anyone replied.

well first off I hope you see this reply!!!!!

I too have the same frustration and there is not a way to do what you ask.

there is a halfway measure, but prepared to be 'spammed'. You can turn on email notification for a 'complete forum group' not an individual thread. yes this means when you subscribe you will receive email notifdication from everyone that posts in that thread! Not much use I know.

if you want to tri this go to setting/forum settings/subscribe to thread (yes it says thread but means forum group).

Settings> Forum Settings> Settings> Receive e-mail notifications by default=Yes

Manually, you can use the link at the bottom of each forum thread:

Actions
Toggle e-mail notification

HillSlugger is correct:

Settings> Forum Settings> Settings> Receive e-mail notifications by default=Yes is the best way.  This will only be to threads you post in, BUT you will get multiple emails if others post before you login.  This is something we are working on in the new site.

Thanks.  That did the trick.  I had it set to Default = Default.  Not default  = Yes.
