Subject: Ironman Los Cabos - No disk wheels allowed?

I've been thinking about doing this event, and was looking over the FAQ - http://www.ironmanloscabos.com/info_atle_prefre_ing.asp

 

It states that disk wheels are not allowed... Is this normal?

If I'm not mistaken, IM Cozumel is like that as well.

Depends on the race.  As noted, IM Coz, as well as Kona, are no disc wheel races.  Means they expect decent croswinds

No disc wheels= strong cross winds.  I found that to be 110% true when I did IM Couzmel in 2009
