Why would he roll down his window thus allowing them to stab him with keys?  I read the article 3 times but can't figure that part out.  Um if somebody is hitting me while I am in my car the first thing I am going to do is roll up my window.

Unless you are armed. At which time you produce the weapon and the conflict tilts to your advantage. Flip side is it could very well have escalated.

Right but I am thinking once he pulled the gun they probably stopped stabbing him with keys.
