Headed next to Vietnam. Supposedly hitting further north....but that's what they said last time. We're already drenched after Tropical Storm 30 early yesterday AM and if we get the rain from another, it's going to really flood. Ugh--hope it winds down soon.

Yikes, hope you can stay safe and dry.

195 mph winds? Terrifying!

Following it closely--best wishes for any BT'ers living in the Philippines or with family there. We have a big Philippino community at our school so lots of people worried about loved ones there. It's supposed to hit Danang (which was hit last month) on the central coast sometime Sunday evening. Ho Chi Minh City is pretty far south of there and about 80 km inland, so probably we'll be spared a direct hit, but with a storm of that size there will probably be substantial high winds and rain spinning off of it.

Hoping my windows hold up--I actually don't have a room without windows and if the glass blows out, have visions of my tiny kitten, or even the big cat, flying out the window. (Was in a big one in Taiwan once and several major kitchen items (blender, pots and pans, toaster oven) got sucked out when the kitchen window blew, so this isn't as crazy as it sounds! Think I will stick them in the airline carrier if it gets bad, and sit on the carrier if it gets out of control!
