Subject: How long to get speed back after dropping one sport for almost 2 yearsDue to back problems, I dropped swimming and more than doubled my bike mileage (5200 last year, over 3000 so far this year ).
I've taken up swimming again, and of course my times have suffered. The 400 that I would always warm up with used to take me around 7 minutes, now it's about 7:40. My 100 free is about 10 seconds slower.
And I'm registered for the Tiburon Mile on Sept. 16.
Anyone else drop swimming in favor of cycling and then return to swimming? BTW, I don't run. |
