Master 1289 Franklin, TN | Subject: RE: The Peep Army Hey Peep Army! I'm Terry and my background is similar to Bopper/Kevin. I come from a few years of mountain bike racing and am also a recent Tri convert as of last year. I have an Xterra, 2 Olys and another offroad Tri on schedule this year. Throw in 5 mtn bike races and I have a full season. I enjoy road biking as well. My first race of this season is at the end of this month, so a lot of my bike miles this month will be long, slow, and off road; hence my only selecting 150 miles for the month. I'll gladly up that number if our mtn bike practice sessions go well for the race. "Failure is not an option!" Hahahah! Let's have fun, encourage each other and kick some peep tail on meeting our goals!!! Terry |

Elite 3471 Evergreen, CO | Subject: RE: The Peep Army Hi Peep Army! I'm Susan. Last year was my 1st tri season also. I've got 3 nearly grown kids so hubby and I decided we should get back in shape now that we have some free time and triathlon training sounded like a good plan. Now I'm hooked and hubby makes a great sherpa at the races I've been mostly running so far this year so looking forward to putting the biking first. It will be almost 70 degrees Saturday so we'll be going on a long ride. Of course, it will snow again on Sunday..... Jen makes a great captain -- I second her motion! |

Elite 3471 Evergreen, CO | Subject: RE: The Peep Army Oh yeah, goal for March -- training plan calls for 16 hours, and it being the snowiest month of the year for CO, I'm betting it will mostly be on the trainer. |

Champion 5345 Carlsbad, California | Subject: RE: The Peep Army Hey Tri Peeps, I am Tim and am in the final build phase for Ironman California 70.3 at the end of March. I just finished my recovery from Shoulder Surgery in December and am now back in the water going strong. Gonna be a big bike month for me and will probably look to be a bit over the top for HIM training, but I am also base building for Ironman Coeur d'Alene in June. My goal is 600 miles and I hope to do a majority of those miles outside. (Of course, the final 56 miles will be outdoors on the race course) Oh, I would vote for Artemis to be our Team Captain. (If it is something she wants to do of course) Edited by WaterDog66 2008-02-29 11:17 AM |

Extreme Veteran 608 Iceland | Subject: RE: The Peep Army *singing* "Ouou I´m in the Army now...." how cool is that I am Steffi and so need this challenge especially as all my bike time is inside on the trainer or on a spinning bike right now and motivation is hard to find when biking inside. We have lots of snow (and did have for the last 2 months) so no biking outside. I also don´t think outside biking will happen in March at all... This is my third season of Triathlons and I hopefully get to do my first Olympic this year. So far I have only done Sprints and Half-Olympic TRIs. Last year I was training for an Olympic TRI which got cancelled 4 days before it was supposed to be and that was NO fun!! My first TRI of the season was last week but it was an Indoor one and we cycled on Spinning bikes. It was lots of fun though I am in for 300K (186 miles) this month Let´s go Team

Expert 831 Eltham North, Victoria | Subject: RE: The Peep Army Hi All, I'm new to the posting on forums thing so bear with me. My background... I used to do triathlons a few years back, the last one being Noosa Olympic distance which I completed slowly and injured. I didn't return to training and once recovered just continued with my running. At the beginning of 2007 I got all motivated and excited and decided to return to triathlon the following season. That season has come and almost gone and I didn't do a thing! So here I am motivated and excited again... Ride on Peep army Tami |
