Veteran 407  Dallas, Texas |  Subject: Cashmere Unmentionables?Please help me out, Ladies. I'm heading to Paris in January (short business trip). A female friend suggested I bring back some cashmere panties from Gentry de Paris for my wife. They run ~$80 per pair. The cost, although high, doesn't bother me. I'm trying to figure out if my wife will be happy at receiving something so luxurious and decadent or pissed that I spent that much money on underwear. I've been trying to feel her out to see whether she'd prefer a super luxurious gift or a more practicle gift (I've just posed it as a theoretical question). She tells me that she can't answer the question without knowing what the two particular gifts would be. So, any helpful insights? Bill |

I can think of other things I would like from Paris...like a nice handbag, certain brands cheaper there... That is a hard question, I like practical gifts most of the time, but something impractical is nice sometimes too. I say...go with satin or make sure to get a matching top with the panties. That's what makes it so difficult. She doesn't mind spending ~$300 on shoes or a purse but won't order fajitas at certain mexican restaurants because they charge an additional $1 for sour cream...
