Morning Ghouligans. Just a quick check in before the day starts for real. Already this morning: the power is off in the cottages,- tourists are understandably un happy; the power company says the power s on- husband is understandably un happy; The newspaper got the times for the reception tonight wrong- lots of people un happy.

It is gonna be "One of THOSE days", it seems.

It is a bright sunny day and I have just jumped into a couple of challenges (running and body composition). I need to get my chit together in spite of what happens all around me and sorta like a marrage : in sickness and in health. Everytime I get this chronic infection I let myself go to hell. Not good. I am really really disappointed that I couldn't do the NYC tri. I really want to do the Lake Lure one and not embarrass myself in front of everyone I know.

Yo. Chilling at Neal's....we got back pretty late last night. He had to go to work....sucker poor guy....haha.

Shopping yesterday was quite successful....bought lots of work clothes...I now have about 8 pairs of dress pants to wear to work and some assorted other pants that might be appropriate depending on the type of clinic. Also bought a few things for Mexico...haha

A typical morning at work I'd be sitting here with a fleece on and my heater running. Today I am sitting here with no heater, no fleece, and I am sweating. I was outside a few minutes ago, it is 90, and I was more comfortable out there, granted there was a breeze.

The A/C is blowing hot air out, must be a gov't employee.

Ya....he didnt go...he was with his buddies sleeping off their crazy night. haha

Since I have just under 18 months to to a rock hard awesome body it is time to get serious.

I have an appointment next Monday to get a bike fitting, an actual fitting with measurements and everything, not just eyeballing. I traded my Adamo saddle for a Cobb with someone here on BT, so I have to wait for the new saddle.

If I can get my current bike tweaked to fit I will have money to buy some nice wheels, and maybe a cyclocross bike to ride this winter. If I have to trade my bike in for something smaller though and spend some money then so be it.

Got my run in. Now to go clean up the church yard to make sure folks can get to the memorial garden.

I have actually signed up for an event this year.  Not a tri, but it is a 10K.  At least now I have a goal.

Are you coming to DC to do the Marine Corp 10K?

Good job! it was tough to do. I did all but the photo. My excuse is I can't figure out how to post one. That is not the real reason.

lol. I wasnt going to...but decided to do it for the sake of full comparison...you could always just do it and not post the pictures....

Funny, I was thinking of doing that. It should be easier to look at after some changes are made. I am sure in the next day or two there won't be that much of a change so I can still get a good "before".

I am off. Taking a nap before the family onslaught ensues.
