Edit *** Just went to the gmail site to look up their privacy and ad stuff, here's a link about it. Just browsing it, it looks like any other disclaimer stuff that many sites put out.

Is it just like other free e-mail services? I seem to recollect controversy over gmail's system of computer scanning the content of private messages for key words to link with ads, its infomation storage policy, and the impact on privacy laws. I have no position on this and I'm not a techie. There are convincing arguments both pro and con that those who are interested can research. Edited by auto208562 2005-01-03 1:43 PM
