Watch Olympics Online

It seems like NBC has a lock on it, as far as American viewing is concerned.  I've found few other sites that have the games streaming but they all say something along the lines of, "media cannot be viewed from your location."  I could use a proxy, but that'd get frowned upon.

I think you will also be able to view them after the fact so you could watch them when you got home.

It is not possible to watch any of the cycling events online. When I tried to watch online it prompts me to put in a zip code. This zip code has to be a US zip code. Hoever, this is what you get:

a) a message say that viewers in the US are not allowed to watch any events due to NBC restrictions because you've entered a US zip code

or

b) a message that says viewers are blocked because they do not have a US zip code.

 

Either way you are blocked. NBC's online coverage is as embarrasing as the IOC's decision to have the Olympics in China.

CBC has coverage online (I think)

I imagine they have to do it that way.  Kind of like how MLB, NFL, etc games are regulated online, they don't want to cross boundaries and off other people that paid for the rights to broadcast (and make you sit through commercials)

I just tried the CBC website for Olympics video and it's there, but when you click to play, get the message that it is not available in your area....   I feel so repressed.   I hate NBC.
