Tube Question (700 X 18/23)

Veteran  131   Austin, Texas |  Subject: Tube Question (700 X 18/23)I went to REI to pick up a few new tubes this weekend and I am concerned about the sizing. I have 700 x 23 tires (Pro2 Race) and I picked up a few 700 x 18/23 racing tubes. I think my old ones that were on my bike are 23/25s. Is this going to be ok or am I going to be prone to flats easier? Is is better to get 23/25s? They didn't have 2 in that size when I went there and that is why I picked up the smaller ones. Thanks! |

Cycling Guru 15134 Fulton, MD | Subject: RE: Tube Question (700 X 18/23) No prob at all. Where you might run into an issue was if you were to use them with something like a 28 or 32 tire. Then it will stretch it out more and you run the risk of having a very thin membrane which could be easier to puncture. But for your application it will be perfectly fine! |
