Not sure if I pronounced it correctly but I got a tight underarmor shirt for swimming because I was using to much suntan lotion and after 30 minutes of swimming I get chafe under my arms.  I hear you can get waterproof tape and Vaseline works also.  Does anyone have some suggestions on how to solve the Chafe problem?   Does any of the methods I mentioned work for you?

Body Glide, Sport Shield, anything like that under the armpits for swimming.

Anyone have good result with cheaper products ex: Vaseline or waterproof tape, if so, then what brand?

I use A+D ointment (baby aisle) for down below on the bike, no reason why it wouldn't work for underarms. I know some people use bag balm as well.

I don't think the cheaper stuff will hold up swimming.

Body glide lasts for a long time on your skin and was designed for what your need is. Plus the cost isn't really that high..my sticks last a long time. It is well worth no chafing.

When I was training for the 5K swim, I got underarm chafing a LOT.  In swims up to 2.5 hrs, Vasaline (generic brand) worked fine.  It didn't appear to degrade my suit, either.  However, I shave my armpits so that may have made a difference.  However, I'd give the Vasaline a try before you shell out for something more expensive.
