Hey Guys,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking for a couple of months and recently joined the site about a week and a half ago. This is a really great community Ron has set up!

Currently I'm training for the Spring Sprint Triathlon on Mission Bay. I have been training for the event for about six weeks now, but I have been on a weight loss regimen since November. I decided a few months into it that adding the extra incentive of finishing a triathlon would help keep me excited about getting fit. So far so good. Since starting last fall I've lost about 13 pounds and 13% body fat. I've still got a ways to go, but I'm having a good time.

I look forward to talking with everyone.

Ericka

Congrats on coming out of the shadows, adding the triathlon goal will definitely keep you on track for your fitness goals. Wow 13% down on your body fat, that is great. Keep up the training, good luck on your spring sprint and of course, welcome...

Ericka,
Welcome to BT. It's great to have another San Diegan here. Did you do your time trial yesterday with a group or was that solo? I was looking at your logs and you should do great in the spring Sprint.

Hey Tom,

That was a solo bike. It was my first time on Fiesta Island. Someone I met at the pool last week explained to me the advantages of going out there, so I went out as soon as the weather cleared a little. It is pretty nice. Should help me regulate a little so I can work on negative splits.

And thanks for the encouragement everyone. I appreciate it.

Hi, welcome to the site... I haven't raced yet, but have really enjoyed reading about everyone and learning what they have to teack!

I used to live in PB and grew up in Poway.... I miss it, but am getting used to Michigan, but after a few years of school, I'm back to the Mountain States... I miss the powder and the elevation!

Good luck, can't wait to see how you do on your race!!
