I'll be in Silver Spring next weekend and am wondering if there are OWS options nearby, if not in Maryland, in Virginia. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hey, you're gonna be in my neck of the woods!

In MD your best bet for OWS is Sandy Point State Park. Unfortunately, it's an hour drive to the Chesapeake.

Hi Nicole! I didn't realize you lived in that area. Hmmm, an hour? Maybe I'll just suck it up and swim in the pool.

I live about 10 miles north. I used to work in Silver Spring.

What brings you to the area?

I swam at Sandy point this last weekend with a group of BTers and they are talking about swimming there again this Saturday. Since it will be the 4th I think the traffic will be bad and the area too crowded.

My sister lives here so I'm down 5-6 times per year. I love it here, she's trying to get me to move I swam in a pool today, I didn't want to make them drive an hour for OWS. Maybe another time I'm here...
