Subject: Thanksgiving Day races in Houston or Galveston?
Hi from Brooklyn, um..y'all.

I'm going to be visiting my folks in Houston for Thanksgiving this year, and I wanted to see if anyone has suggestions for a Thanksgiving Day turkey trot or other race that I could do while I'm there. I'm not sure if we'll be in Houston or Galveston, but I'll take suggestions for both, as well as any other nearby places.

Lot's of 5ks around but I don't know what I'd recommend not having done any of them. Let me know which one you choose and if I'm not working I'll come run with you.

There is a Turkey Trot in uptown and you have the option for a 5k or 10k.  I usually do the 10k, so I can justify the calories later.    It's an okay race, but usually pretty crowded.

In addition to the 10K mentioned above, there's a 5-miler in The Woodlands on T-day.

I've run both and both are great races.

The 10k is a good race! I've done it the past two years.
