some dude was attempting to zip up his jersey at 50 mph +......he almost got it, too

crazy, I hit 40 I'm hanging on for dear life....

I was watching that and thought, "dude, you'd better get that jersey fastened up before the decent or you'll freeze". He then went over the summit and was still unzipped. I couldn't believe that he was 'no-handing' it down that descent. Crazy to be sure!

Yeah he had to give up trying when the first big bend came.

I always marvel at the guys that load up with water bottles next to the team car.  They are both doing 25 mph and a couple feet apart, his hands are off the bars to stuff bottles down his shirt, etc...

I don't know, I think on the descents, they reach 50 mph.  I've reached 45. 

Like OP said though, WHITE KNUCKLES at anything over 30 and not letting-go of the bars to do anything at that speed.
