Subject: Cycling Shoes?
Anyone know where I can get cycling shoes in the GTA? I'm a beginner and only even thinking about cycling shoes because spinning in running shoes is starting to give me foot pain.

I'm not even sure what the price race is for cycling shoes...or what styles/types they even come in!

Any insight would be very helpful!

what size are you looking for? Classified ads on BT are great. I found a pair for my wife that were brand new and half the price.

I bought mine from the Trek store on Yonge & Davisville.  I've never used mine on a spin bike though... I'd make sure the cleat portion will work with the spin bike peddles.

I've heard the bike show is a great place to get good deals.

most spin bikes take mountain bike shoes.  you should be able to find them at any bike stores (including MEC).

Sorry, don't want to step on toes.

SPIN bikes generally will have Shimano SPD cleats. The type of shoe will not matter (road or mtn), as long as they accept the cleat bolt pattern.

MEC will be a good place to go. Be sure to find out if you are getting the proper cleat before you go. If you are not mechanically handy, have them install the cleats for you while you are there too. Then you'll be good to go!
