Subject: RE: What is going to be sacrificed for FuelRight now, gas from the non-brand-name gas place around the corner from my house is $3.21 for the lowest octane.
'Fortunately' I started biking to work about three weeks prior to the Katrina Disaster, and I use my car for little else (just grocery shopping ). I figure that I'm swapping good biker's legs for an empty wallet.
I really feel sorry for those poor schmoes who have a 40 mile commute or something!
I actually contemplated selling my car this morning, and getting a better bike. Do you think that's insane??
But to answer your question, I think that I may give up my YMCA membership. Since I've moved into longer distance racing, I rarely use the Y anymore. So that's another 40 bucks a month I can spend on fossil fuels!
